Students of PSU-OUS extend financial assistance to the victims of the magnitude seven earthquake in the northern Philippines through a fundraising drive of Pangasinan State University (PSU) called โ€œTulong sa Pagbangon,โ€ spearheaded by the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation. The said financial assistance was personally delivered by the Executive Director of PSU-OUS, Dr. Phillip G. Queroda, to Dr. Francis Albert Argente, the Director for Extension Services of PSU. Also present are the OUS Deputy Director for Academics, Research and Extension, Dr. Erna Salazar, and Extension Coordinator, Dr. Cristie Marie Dalisay, ETEEAP Director and OUS Extension Coordinator.

The generous OUS students include Father Dexter Cariรฑo, Mr. Woodward Uy-Villalino, Ms. Rosalie Manuel Bonifacio, Mr. Joseph Z. Sangalang, Ms. Emee N. Cantos, Ms. Shalie Leigh Castillo Cabie, Ms. Cora L. Cerezo, Mr. Ian Cesar Wamilda, Mr. Theodore Braga, Ms. Hearty Barcebal, Ms. Mary Grace Peรฑa, Ms. Catherine Borja, Mr. Randell Galzote, Ms. Winnie Sison, Ms. Melissa Cuervas, Ms. Nikki Ann Castro, Mr. Garland Rivera, Ms. Mary Jane Vidal, Ms. Joemar Allam, and Ms. Marites Valdez.

This endeavor shows that distance is not detrimental to helping other people, especially in times of need. Like in PSU-OUS, distance is not a barrier to earning graduate studies.
