In a substantial initiative aimed at modernizing its graduate programs to align with the needs and expectations of today’s generation, the Pangasinan State University Open University Systems (PSU OUS) conducted an initial meeting for the proposed revision of the Master of Arts in Education major in Instructional Leadership and Master of Science in Fisheries curricula yesterday, October 10, at the PSU OUS Office.
PSU OUS has initially embraced a transformative shift by adopting the 2023 curricula of three (3) programs of the PSU School of Advanced Studies (SAS) curriculum namely: Doctor of Education major in Educational Management, Master of Arts in Education major in Educational Management, and Master in Development Management major in Public Management. This strategic move was undertaken to align the curricula across the graduate schools at PSU, effectively commencing from the first semester of the academic year 2023-2024.
During the said meeting, which was led by Dr. Phillip G. Queroda, OUS Executive Director, Deputy Directors Dr. Erna M. Salazar and Dr. Romary R. Lincod, Program Advisers Dr. Grace G. De Vera (MAED- IL) and Dr. Sotero M. Aban (MS Fisheries), the task force in charge engaged in a dynamic exchange of ideas. Their primary objective was to strategize on how to raise the two programs to the highest levels of academic excellence and relevance in alignment with CHED’s CMO No. 15 s. 2019, which outlines the Policies and Standards of Graduate Programs released in 2019.
The said initial meeting also served as the foundation upon which the dedicated task force began to outline their plans for crafting syllabi and developing essential learning materials for the upcoming courses that will be integrated into the new curricula.
