Committed to addressing the gender gaps and bringing out the full potential of the members of the community, the Pangasinan State University- Open University Systems (PSU- OUS), together with the Gender and Development Office and the Lingayen Campus, held a ๐-๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐๐๐ญ ๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ข๐๐ข๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฌ last June 26 and 27 at the Barangay Hall of Poblacion in Lingayen, Pangasinan.
The said event featured various hands-on training and discussions which would help the participants on managing their health, and improving their entrepreneurial skills in preparing vapor
During the two-day event, the participants, who were mostly female 4Ps recipients of Brgy. Poblacion, received new learnings from the pool of remarkable resource speakers which include Dr. Christia Marie Flores (Head, PSU Medical-Dental Services Unit), Ms. Girlie Fernandez (Chemistry Researcher), Dr. Lina Cancino (Chemical Engineer), Ms. Noemi Orlanda (Food Technology Mentor), Ms. Maria Virfinia Fontanos (Food Service Management Teacher), and Ms. Jesy Domingo (Technology and Livelihood Instructor).
Proposed by OUS officials Dr. Phillip G. Queroda (Executive Director), Dr. Romary R. Lincod (Deputy Director for Administration, Planning, and Quality Assurance), Dr. Renato E. Salcedo (Lingayen Campus Executive Director), and Dr. Presley V. de Vera (GAD Coordinator), with the expertise and assistance of its Extension Coordinator Dr. Jennilyn Fernandez, the said extension activity is one of the many initiatives of PSU-OUS which aims to uplift various community and its members by offering skills enhancement trainings.
