The Pangasinan State University, through the Open University System, conducted a two-day Training Workshop on Syllabi and Course Guide Development for the 2nd Semester of S.Y. 2021-2022.
This training was conducted on February 21-22, 2022 at the Dr. Telesforo N. Boquiren Convention Hall and Audio-Visual Room in Lingayen, Pangasinan, respectively.
The training workshop was led by PSU-OUS Executive Directior Dr. Phillip G. Queroda, together with the OUS Deputy Executive Director for Administration and Quality Assurance Dr. Romary R. Lincod, the OUS Deputy Executive Director for Academic, Research and Extension Dr. Erna Salazar, the Campus Executive Director of Lingayen Dr. Randy Joy Ventayen and other university officials.
Furthermore, the Director for Curriculum and Instruction (CI), Dr. Razeale F. Resultay, was invited to be a resource person in conducting the training workshop. Her presentation included the โnew normalโ in education which features the Education System, Responsibility and Stakeholders Management, Approach to Effectiveness and to Quality of School Experience, Approach to Curriculum Design and Learning Progression, Focus of Monitoring, Student Assessment, and Role of Students.
This workshop on syllabi and course guide development was organized to aid the professors to improve and modify the syllabi and course guidelines in accordance with the requirements of the institution, CHED and other agencies.
Different programs have presented their outputs, as well, for review if there may be revisions needed for improvement of the said syllabi and course guide.
Hence, PSU will continue to conduct these kinds of seminars in order to enhance and build a better institution for future professionals.
